MDMA (Ecstasy)

MDMA is also referred to as Ecstasy and on the “street” is known as XTC, Go, X, Adam, and Hug Drug.

It is commonly found in tablet form, the individual tablets are imprinted with a graphic design, logo, or numbers. Individual tablets contain 100 mg of MDMA.

The most common use of ecstasy is through injesting the tablet form. The tablets are also crushed to be snorted, liquified for injection, and are also used in suppository form.

Ecstasy is considered one of the club drugs. It is found and abused in nightclubs, raves, and in acid houses. Ecstasy has euphoric, energizing, and hallucigen type qualiteis that many use to enhance thier party expereince.

Sometimes ecsasty is referred to as a harmless party drug – however this is not true. Ecstasy has detrimental physical and emotional effects upon the user, a user can build up a tolerance, and addiction is possible.

Ecstacy is also referred to as a date rape drug. The drug has not color or taste if added to a beverage or food items, making it fairly easy to slip into someone’s drink unknowingly. The unsuspecting victum may become disorented and vunerable to sexual assult. The victum may not even remember the assult.

Ecstasy is primarily produced in Europe. It costs very little to manufacture in Europe but steet value in the United States can be up to $40.

An ecstasy user can experince appetite suppression, increased happiness or good feelingd, and increased energy. Many users of ecstasy do not eat or sleep while using the drug. This is part of the allure, especially during the nightclub or rave sceen. Users dance all night and can experience strange effects while partying.

Users can also experience sever dehydration, heat stroke, and acting and participating in dangerous behavior. An overdose can happen and is charachterized by rapid hearbeat, high blood pressure, faintness, cramping, panic attacks, loss of concience, and seizures. Long term physical effects can develop such as kidney and cardiovasular system failure, memory loss, and death.
